【Ot-Channel】崖の上に立つ沖縄を代表する神社（琉球八社 - 波上宮）
沖縄を代表する神社と言えば、波上宮です。琉球八社シリーズのその4は、波上宮です。
南風原の里主が、海岸で見つけた霊石を狙われ、逃げた先の波の上で、熊野権現を名乗る神に、ここに社を作る事で国家の安泰が計れるとのお告げを受け、琉球国府に伝えできたとの伝説があります。
その後も、外交貿易の航海の安全祈願を多くの人々が祈ったほか、毎年琉球国王自ら正月には参拝したと言われています。
そのため、琉球八社を目受けた際には、波上宮が、琉球王国の第一の神社とされました。
その後、明治時代に官幣小社にも認められ、沖縄の総鎮守となりますが、先の大戦で被災し、昭和28年に本殿と社務所を、昭和36年に拝殿を再建し、その後平成の造営により、現在に至っています。

The fourth part of the Ryukyu eight shrine series is Naminoue Shrine.
A villager from Haebaru was aimed at the ghost stone found on the coast, and Naminoue where he fled, he was told that a god named Kumano Gongen could build a shrine here and that the national security could be measured. There is a legend that it has been transmitted to the Ryukyu Kingdom Government.
Since then, many people have prayed for the safety of the voyage of diplomatic trade, and it is said that the King of the Ryukyus worshiped every year during the New Year.
Therefore, when we saw the eight Ryukyu shrines, Namiue shrine was the first shrine in the Ryukyu kingdom.
Later, in the Meiji era, it was recognized by the government and became the top shrine of Okinawa, but was damaged in the WWⅡ, rebuilt the main shrine and shrine office in 1953, rebuilt the Hall of worship in 1961, and Rebuilt in Heisei, has been up to the present.
