【Inokuma TOURIST】約280年前の沖縄の農家住宅 - 中村家住宅（北中城村） [猪熊ツーリスト]
護佐丸とともに、現在の北中城村に移り住んだ中村家。護佐丸・阿麻和利の乱で、護佐丸が滅ぼされてからは、不遇の時代が続きますが、1720年頃には、本土の庄屋に当たる地頭代に命じられるまでになります。
そんな中村家は、建物の構造や、ヒンプンと呼ばれる目隠し用の塀、フールーという名の豚小屋兼便所、そして建物の周囲を囲む琉球石灰岩の塀や、フクギの防風林など、琉球王国時代から続く沖縄の住宅の特徴を残したまま、沖縄戦の戦火を免れた貴重な家屋です。
そのため、沖縄がアメリカから返還された1972年5月15日に、沖縄本島の民家では初めて国の重要文化財に指定されました。
中村家住宅を見学するには、500円の入場料が必要です。なお見学後には、お茶と黒糖ゼリーや黒糖などのサービスがあります。
